![]() ![]() To be honest, I only trust the official Sennheiser authenticity-checking website. Put another way, I f**king hate special editions. PS - to the OP - can't you just buy one from a reputable dealer online? Like or something?Well although Sennheiser told me that the silver microphones should be genuine, and that their authenticity could be verified online (but then again on the Chinese authenticity checking website.), I still wanted the black one. Should be good to go.Ĭan't take the Chinese 8 years to fab up a fake mic! Maybe they just have excess inventory and they thought the owners of the design would have forgotten it by now.Īnyone looked up that certificate of authenticity? Has that been counterfieted too? I would try using both sites authentication as well as email (or call if you find that #) to verify the serial number and warranty. Take photos of the unopened/opened package when it arrives. This way you have the buyer protection (delayed payment/return policy). Since I travel a lot I usually just bring the smaller stuff in with me.īut as I said, I would buy from the "official" distributor, only pay for it via Taobao/TMall. Jeez! It's a nightmare buying gear in China Yep, sure can be a major PITA. ![]() This is the same page that the seller points me to for checking the product. cn directs you to a different page for checking product authenticity: I can't find a phone for customer support in Germany, so I am here to see if anyone can give me a phone number or comment on these microphones.ġ) Would you be able to post a link to the T-Mall product page? You should be able to fish that out from your purchase records.Ģ) I was already aware of Sennheiser's counterfeit checking page. I phoned Sennheiser UK and they pretty much told me that they could not advise about products sold in other countries. Sennheiser was founded in 1945, so celebrating the 60th anniversary in 2013 seems rather odd. I actually got the contact details of the distributor from Sennheiser's website. Now this is fine, except that I cannot find anything on the web about the silver edition, furthermore everything I find contains the words "ebay" or Chinese characters, so naturally I think both the black and the silver microphones sold in China might be dodgy, yet official distributors in China carry the silver edition. In China most stores that sell this microphones carry two versions of it, one being the normal one (black) and the other one being the "Sixty Years of Sennheiser" edition (silver). I live in China and I am desperately trying to get hold of a genuine Sennheiser e935 microphone. ![]()
